Why is it that some of us always make important decisions when we cannot see beyond our current situations? Why do we insist upon making major steps when we cannot see around the next corner? When we are in the valley we cannot see beyond the surrounding mountains. We sometimes feel that because we are in the valley that we will always be there.
The time to make major decisions is when we climb to the top of the ‘inner’ mountain and see from a Divine perspective. How do we ‘see’ from a Divine perspective? We use our imagination to envision ourselves at the ‘top’ of the mountain and trust in the Divine to bring us there.
The combination of imagination and Divine trust create our ‘knowingness’ of arriving at our destination; this is Divine expectation. Becoming whom and what we were created to be is accomplished by embracing our Divine purpose and allowing Divine guidance to unfold that purpose in Divine order.
We don’t need to see beyond the next corner when we completely trust in the Divine. After all, the journey to the mountaintop is the destination; fulfilling our Divine purpose while sharing love with all. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
NOW IS THE TIME
Now is the time to be the perfect you. Not tomorrow or sometime in the future, but now. Why is now the time? Because now is all that you truly have. It is in this moment that you have the awareness of the real YOU!
Whatever you imagine now will become reality when you let it go and trust in the Divine to manifest it perfectly. Why not choose to imagine the fulfillment of your heart’s Divine desires?
If you aren’t living them in the now, then what you were imagining was not the fulfillment of them. It was the lack of fulfilling them. Change the channel from static to dynamic.

In this moment you have created everything in your life and can now reflect on it. Are the reflections clear? Or are they nebulous? You are in a place right now where you can choose to be whom and what you were created to be; right here, right now. All of your past experiences have been in how to handle this moment.
Why don’t you listen to the silence, see the stillness and feel the peace of this moment? Is there ANYTHING more important than this moment? The NOW is where you make the choices to unfold your Divine purpose in Divine order. What choices are you making? Are you fulfilling your Divine purpose? Are you paying attention to the unfolding of the Spirit of God within you?
If you aren’t, it’s OK. The first step is to recognize this and the next is to act accordingly to become whom and what you were created to be. Trust in Divine guidance and traverse the journey from self to SELF and experience the peace, joy and understanding of complete and utter fulfillment. Thank you, God, for this awareness. FINE TUNING
As the Spirit of God unfolds from within you to manifest your Divine purpose in Divine order, many distractions occur along the way to hone and fine tune your conviction toward actualizing your purpose. It is not a series of tests as some might say but a natural progression of the movement from a perception of self being in control to allowing SELF to guide us in the unfolding.
Certain events, circumstances, occurrences, situations and behaviors of others will reveal benchmarks along the way that when we are paying attention, will reinforce the guidance we have received. Be aware of what is going on around you and within you. Revelation requires your recognition, attention and focus on what is of value to you.

Politicians, governmental and corporate leaders think that we need them in order to survive. They remain focused on what they do for us while deluding themselves that what they do is actually for them. When their egos are in command they actually think we need their guidance. In reality, we only need Divine guidance.
Choose a candidate that truly looks out for us. How do you know this? Look at how they interact with their families and their constituents. What is their record in how they helped the people they represented to grow and expand? If they were too restrictive, look at the reasons why they were that way and what results were actually manifested.
If those reasons and results aren’t valid, then reject their pitch as being self-serving and tantamount to being bought by interests other than the people they were elected to represent. It’s as simple as that. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
TELLING YOUR STORY
Do you have a story to tell? Is that story uneventful and mediocre at best? Do you tell your story in a raconteuristic fashion or does it just barely explain why you are where you are right now? Is your story even worth telling? You’d be surprised. Your story is a result of the choices you have made over the course of your life. It is the imprint of what you value and what you don’t. It reveals the roads you have taken, the steps you have climbed and the mountaintops you have ascended to in order to express your Divine purpose.
Do you currently perceive that you are in a rut? Retell your story, be it to yourself and/or others to again feel the joys and pains you have experienced in the story of your life. Count your setbacks and your blessings to know that where you stand now is a result of moving away from where you have been. Continue to move toward where you want to be by discharging negative erroneous beliefs perpetrated by those who choose to not actualize their Divine potential. They are not you and they are not living your life.
Allow them to express their opinions without letting them rent space in your head. What they express is a result of their journey and NOT yours. Learn from them and their stories but continue to unfold your story in Divine order without their perceptions tainting yours. After all, you are the one who has to put one foot in front of another to walk your walk; tell your story and make sure it has a happy ending. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS
Charlton Heston at the NRA; "From my cold dead hands!". Obviously, the words are coming from a senior citizen who is acting like a brazen child. RIP, Mr. Heston. We can only pray for your peace. Is this something to be honored and respected? Is this the way of peace, growth and expansion? You decide who talks and who shoots. Who does your talking? Is it the real you or the perceived you? Do you encourage others to be the best they can be by actualizing their purpose or is your tongue a weapon of mass destruction? Do you talk to support the growth and expansion of peace in this world or do act like a child who has to do his talking with a gun?
Any person who has to use a weapon to forcibly impose their will over another is not coming from Divine love. This person is NOT ultimately trusting in the Divine to unfold their Divine purpose in Divine order. They are relying on their ego’s sense of self-survival at all costs to set the tone for their lives and impose their limited agendas on everyone. Collecting weapons for ‘defense’ might sound acceptable on the surface but in reality it is making a decision for the ego. It is saying, “if someone attacks me, robs me or violates my property, I have a right to shoot them and possibly kill them.” It is your ego elevating itself to godhood by having the power over life and death. Any way you try to spin it, this is what is happening. It is NOT completely trusting in God but it IS making a conscious decision to trust in your ego and your ego ALONE!!!
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” ~David (Psalm 23:4, King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)). Do you truly believe this? Or is it just a nice poem to read to your children at bedtime? If you truly believe this STOP using guns to do your talking and talk from the Spirit of God. It is your ultimate defense and offense of life over death. You choose; remember, you have to deal with the consequences of your choices. Choose to arm yourself with weapons and you will create situations where you will have to use them.

Since when is one right any better than another? The Bill of Rights were crafted to protect ALL individuals from ANY governmental or ANY constituents of our society from attempting to squelch ANY of these rights. They were drafted pertinent to the time in which they lived and the state of the world AT THAT TIME! Now, they have survived many years of legal decisions involving them but the essence of what they represent is that each right stands alone and that collectively as the first ten amendments to the Federal Constitution, they form the Bill of Rights as we know them today.
No right supersedes another. Now, when Chick-Fil-A’s CEO expresses his first amendment ‘free speech’ right against the civil rights of homosexuals, does that mean that his right to free speech supersedes anyone else’s civil rights? Definitely NOT! No one person, religion or group has the right to deny, mock or legislate against any group of people who choose to practice ANY form of belief system; including the right to NOT adopt any particular form of belief system.
Our collective rights do NOT supersede our individual rights and vice versa. We have our civil rights to protect us from ANYONE who attempts to deny them to EVERYONE. Stand up for your rights AND the rights of others. If you allow anyone or anything to deny the rights we all share, then you are complicit in this action by your lack of action. FOOLS AND MORONS
When someone being who they are steps on ANYONE else’s rights I will take issue with them. Only fools try to enforce their beliefs on others. Only morons justify their foolishness with “it’s God’s word.” Only idiots try to enforce their moronic behavior on those less discerning than others to reinforce their agenda filled beliefs.
Now, that we’ve identified the losers in life who continually practice egotistical agenda manifestation, why don’t we try to help each other learn the truth, speak the truth and LIVE the truth.

CHANGING YOUR MIND AND HEART
When you truly change your mind and heart to be sensitive to the needs and rights of others is when you allow the Divine to guide your life into complete fulfillment.
Anything else is the deception of the ego and your result will be predicated on what justice and injustice you either allow or disallow.

THE DANCE OF ENERGY
AND MATTER
In Einstein’s famous equation we learn that there is a relationship between energy and matter. Energy is equal to the mass of an object accelerated to the velocity of light squared. I propose a new meaning to this formula. Egregiousness is equal to the moronity of someone accelerated to the velocity of conservatism squared. In other words, the typical behavior of the Tea Party constituents.
Most of them don’t even know from whence their beliefs originated but somehow they just KNOW they are right. Ego at its peak. Discernment at its all time low. If someone doesn’t know just how stupid they are and on top of that doesn’t care to edify themselves they are living in fear. Plain and simple. Fear of progression, growth and expansion. In other words, Conservatism. Conservatism is the disposition to preserve or restore what is established and traditional. Its main goal is to limit change; whether or not society determines it as good or bad change.
When ignorance dominates one’s consciousness and it is amplified by conservatism the result is behavior like the constituency of the Tea Party. The meaning of the original Tea Party was to defy taxation without representation; not to defy awareness and social growth just to retain one’s ignorance. Education is the key to opening your mind to other possibilities besides traditional unchallenged values. Why do you think that the Conservative movement is fostering keeping their constituency uneducated? Because those who don’t know will NOT care who is behind the curtain or will blindly trust who is there without challenge.
A non-discriminating mind and non-critical thinking mind will not even consider the challenge. They will trust in what others say without discerning what the Divine says. Be aware and not fooled by those with a conservative silver tongue. While you’re being distracted with rhetoric their constituents are pulling the levers behind the curtain. Be aware! ~Dean A. OUR PERCEPTIONS
What is it that truly manifests your Divine purpose in Divine order? Is it the strength of the natural omniverse moving energy through you and physically ‘pushing against’ objects and people to participate in the unfolding of that purpose? Is it the power of sheer energy moving these objects and people around by some mystical or miraculous force that is not experienced by our senses? Or is it simply a change in perception of the spirit within that affects what moves are made in ‘ourselves’ and others?
Our perceptions are a result of what we sense being converted into electro-chemical copies in our brains. We either react or proact to these perceptions based on how our individual belief systems filter them. If our belief systems are focused on fear we will react to protect ourselves at all costs. If our belief systems are focused on faith we will proact to grow and expand our world for the benefit of all. If we have even the tiniest bit of faith in our desired outcome of manifesting our Divine purpose in Divine order we will have set the laws of the omniverse into motion by the act of ‘letting go’ of the outcome.
The attachment to specific outcomes is a result of us focusing on ‘how’ they will be manifested instead of simply ‘trusting’ that they will. Letting go of how things will occur releases us from the illusion that we have the ‘might’ and ‘power’ to control the outcome. Allowing the spirit within to guide us toward the conditions of how things will be manifested comes from ‘faithing’ and ‘trusting’ in the Divine COMPLETELY!!! It is the Spirit of God within each and every one of us that determines how things will manifest in our lives; not our individual will power or perceived strength of purpose.
Giving your dreams to God is where the action occurs simply because you trust in the Divine to do what is necessary to become whom and what you were created to be. Faith and trust. That is all you will ever need. “Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, said the LORD of hosts” ~Zechariah 4:6 (American King James Version). ~Dean A. DIVINE CONFIDENCE
I completely trust in the Divine to protect me and I am still here to testify to that. What some call naivety is Divine confidence.
The idea is to create Divine confidence and expectation so that no one would ever break into your home, cause you or your family harm and to temper a complete realization of Divine protection.
Any form of violence is from ego generated fears and lashing out to ensure survival. I have been threatened with guns several times in my life and I turned it over to the Divine and I am here unscathed because of my trust and faith.

FEARS OF YOUR EGO
If you choose to arm yourself and commit violence you are living from the fears of your ego. If you choose not to realize this, that is your right and so be it.
We are all children of the Divine and that is our true state of being; the truth is that if you choose to defend the use of weapons and violence that no one has to know you personally to know you are living in fear.
It is OBVIOUS! The crucifixion of Jesus was the ultimate act of violence. Shouldn't that be enough to teach all of us that violence is NOT the way? Peter cut off the soldier’s ear in an act of violence. What did Jesus do? He healed the soldier.
Jesus taught us all how to act and be loving no matter what happens in our world. That, in itself, is a Divine state of being. Peace and much success in living without fear. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
We hear every day about the ongoing battle between ‘fact’ and ‘opinion’. Facts are an agreement of truths known by actual experience or observation of the available evidence that is accepted and known to be true by more than one individual. Corroboration of the quantitative and qualitative assets or characteristics of the evidence by more than one observer is necessary in order for the evidence to be verifiable and accepted as ‘facts’. If many observers agree on the ‘facts’ it is said to be more valid than just two observers because of the similarities in observable evidence experienced by many individuals.
Facts reveal the truth of our perceived dualistic reality. They exist ‘apart from’ and not ‘colored by’ any observer. An ‘opinion’ is a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty because all of the associated facts have not been corroborated. It is a personal view, attitude, or appraisal of the ‘facts’ which are skewed by a person’s emotional reaction to the facts. It is a ‘reaction to’ an event circumstance, situation, occurrence or behavior of people or things. An opinion is formed either ‘after’ facts have been ‘observed’ or ‘before’ they have been observed.
In the former, the reaction to a set of facts causes either fight or flight from the experience of those facts. In the latter, an anticipation of perceived results that are not desired creates a reaction of either indulgence or avoidance of possible experiences in one’s environment. An opinion is a secondary reaction to a set of facts. The initial reaction to a set of facts is to run toward them or run away from them. The secondary reaction is to form an opinion of a set of facts as to their expression as being ‘the way it is’. Our egos then determine whether or not the ‘facts’ are aligned with our subconscious beliefs and we either reject or resist the experience of the facts or accept or allow their expression to be held as truth.
Rejection and acceptance are ‘mental constructs’ that occur ‘without’ significant emotional drive where resistance and allowance are ‘emotional constructs’ that occur ‘with’ significant emotional expression. Resistance is the emotional drive of ‘fight/flight’ and allowance is the emotional drive of ‘letting go’. Resistance truly is futile because it keeps us trapped in ‘reacting’ to facts instead of dealing with them ‘as they are’. We either observe the facts through direct experience or we believe what someone else has observed with direct experience. In other words, we trust what we sense or we trust what someone else senses.
Aside from first-hand experience in the unfolding of current events, the only observations of what has occurred in the past are in viewing historical media available on what ‘actually’ happened. How much of the ‘truth’ of what has occurred can be corroborated? This takes an active role in researching what archival evidence is available in the library or on the Internet. To create an ‘informed opinion’, one must put in the time to research the available facts. Only after many hours of painstaking research can one derive enough supporting evidence to back up their opinion as being plausible; that it ‘could’ have occurred this way without any major dissenting evidence.
Everyday millions of people blog their opinions on social networking and represent them as facts. A discerning mind will reject this off the bat and demand supporting evidence from at least three corroborative sources; not just one article by a zealot who wants to convince you of their opinion by skewing the available facts to support their position. Without discernment, most people will blindly accept what is said as fact without corroboration because it is what they ‘want’ to believe to begin with; it aligns with the agenda they want to see manifested. Discernment is an acute ‘mental’ function that evaluates facts and information ‘without’ emotionalizing them to fit an agenda.
Judgment is an ‘emotional’ function that evaluates behaviors as being acceptable or unacceptable based on one’s own experience in life. Both discernment and judgment involve ‘separating’ and ‘isolating’ experience from the person who is experiencing it; however, judgment goes one step further and uses its own experience to impose upon another its ‘values’ without taking into consideration what the other person has directly experienced and how their life lessons have taught them ‘how’ to react. Discernment embraces and deals ‘only’ with the facts whereas judgment deals with one’s own observations of the facts and what one values as their opinion of the facts.
Facts have more ‘truth’ than opinions and like the saying goes about opinions, everybody has one. As the once President of the United States John Adams said, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictums of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Many will try to alter the facts to suit their opinions. It is up to you to discern the facts and separate the chaff from the wheat. Go to the library, surf the net and consult others; always get at least three corroborative sources of information on the evidence before you wholeheartedly form an opinion.
We will all become closer to the truth as a result and learn that our opinions are not necessarily how things ‘are’. Invest time in meditation and ‘feel’ what the truth is after your investigation. The Divine will lead you to people, places and things that will either support or deny your opinions. Trust is always the last part of truly knowing. Be thankful for your experiences, the facts you observe and the informed opinions you embrace. Always make sure they are centered in the truth of the Divine. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE
Some people will try to teach you that you don’t have to ‘find’ your Divine purpose. They teach that if you allow it to happen it will manifest before your very eyes with absolutely no effort. Just love and trust in the Divine and all the ‘goodies’ will just drop in your lap when you least expect it. First, if you have lived your life for any length of time you soon learn that certain things are appealing and of interest to you at various stages in your life, and your ‘effort’ is in direct proportion to your desire; and, of course, they teach you should be free of desire. Well, if you believe that load of malarkey than I have some beachfront property in Arizona for sale at a good price; perhaps a tree farm in New Mexico?
We were created to ‘actualize’ of Divine purpose and anything short of that is a boldface lie. It is misdirection based on a lack of understanding why you were created in the first place. We were created with love, to live in love and to express love. Every day we co-create our reality by our participation in it, or lack thereof. Sharing love with others and helping them to realize their dreams helps you to realize yours. That IS the secret to living a harmonious and fruitful life.
Are you like the fig tree that withered up because you did not produce any fruit? Or are you like a fig tree bearing fruit everywhere? Jesus cursed the fig tree that did not bear any fruit. He made it an example of what NOT to be. If you just sit around in your inner sanctum contemplating your navel and just how spiritual you are, you already have your own reward. When you take what guidance the Divine imparts to you and go out into the world in Divine service to others to produce fruit, you are being like the tree that bore fruit everywhere! You must come to know your individual Divine purpose and manifest it in your life. If you don’t know it, spend time with the Infinite Creator of the omniverse and come to know what it is.
It isn’t finding it in a corner of your mind hidden from view. It is right there in front of you every day for you to ACT on. Actualize your Divine purpose every day into the perceived dualistic reality and co-create a masterpiece known as your life. Don’t waste it by going to $1000/seat seminars, reading one book after another in hopes of becoming enlightened or listening to some moron who tells you whom and what God is and isn’t. Be ye therefore perfect! Be whom and what you were created to be making the steps to co-create the life you were created to live. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
What amazes me sometimes is how thickheaded some people can be. I ought to know. I’m pretty thickheaded myself when it comes to listening to the bullshit that some people spew without knowing the facts. You see, I spend many hours in research searching for the truth and find at least 3 corroborative sources before I call someone a blatant liar and raging asshole.
When you arm yourself with the facts, no matter what flagrant emotional BS someone else flings you are ready for it. Time after time I hear people parroting Faux News talking points AS IF they are the truth. From Glenn Beck’s secret FEMA camps to micro-chipping people who choose government health care I hear one story after another from one article after another and all opinions; no FACTS!!! A friend asked me to check out the micro-chipping and yes, it was in the original HR3200 but the bill that was signed into law, HR4872, does not reference this. You see, NOTHING, NOTHING compares to the inner wisdom that comes from the Divine Infinite Creator. When you use your mind to discern what is going on around you and allow divine guidance to awaken you to the truth, all of the other stuff just sells books, seminars, movies and advertising. What is truly important is your individual relationship with the Divine. You don’t need me and I don’t need you for that. We all need each other as reminders to what we need to do and to point that way for each other, but no one needs ever get between you and your Creator. If they say that they do, then get away as quickly as possible. They are more out for themselves then they are for you. Trusting in the Divine is all you need. Everything else is just entertainment. What did it mean when Jesus said that the Father would send a ‘Comforter’ in his name and teach us all things and help us remember the lessons that Christ taught us? Was it a separate spirit that was imposed on us or was it simply an awareness of the spirit within us that we had not previously known?
What is a ‘Redeemer’? The act of redeeming is to buy back, pay off, clear a debt, recover, exchange or convert something of value to another to cover a perceived debt of service. Who is the Redeemer? It is the Spirit of God within each and every one of us that connects to our ‘Christ consciousness’.
What is our Christ consciousness? It is the knowing of the Spirit of God within! Before Christ made us aware of this FACT we did not know our ‘connection’ to spirit. The ‘Holy Spirit’ is NOT a separate spirit; it IS the Spirit of God!!! It is the Spirit of Holiness as the Comforter (Redeemer).
What does this mean? It clearly means that Jesus had to die to redeem us from our lack of knowing that we are already ONE with God! Without his death we would be fixated on Jesus the man and not the Christ within! The accursed are those who have no knowledge that God is within or don’t believe that there is a God at all. They exist in a vacuum of physical conditions, emotional reactions, mental hyperbole and spiritual vacuousness. They need to be ‘reminded’ of the words of Christ and the awakening of each individual to the Spirit of God within.
Yet many churches preach sin, hellfire and brimstone instead of the simplicity of ‘letting go’ of your ego to allow the Spirit of God to work THROUGH you. Why? Because they have postured themselves as middlemen between you and God. They have to assert and defend their value at your expense! Don’t buy into the false concepts of sin and hell. They are distractions from the pure, true love of the Divine!
Agape is the ‘unconditional love’ of God. He does not HATE sin as is so often preached by Pauline proponents who are espousing a FALSE gospel of Jesus Christ. Read the RED and hear Christ’s words. That is ALL you need. Not ANYONE else’s perceptions of his words but your understanding of his words from the Spirit of God within YOU!!! The Trinity of spirits is a ‘made up’ concept by the Catholic Church.
There is only ONE spirit; the Spirit of God. The alpha and omega of all of life. Stop believing lies and made up concepts and seek the truth within you RIGHT NOW! It is there when your heart is pure and focused on the Spirit of God within. Peace and blessings to all of you. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
HATE WHAT IS EVIL?
I take issue with the line, "Hate what is evil” (Romans 12:9). That is like throwing gasoline on a fire. Isn’t it evil to hate anything? Does one wrong justify another? This is one of the key points where I disagree with the Pauline gospel.
It is NOT the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Anytime someone tells you to 'hate' when God has commanded you to 'love' has their own agenda manifestation at the heart of their perceived purpose. I choose to love and NOT to hate.
When we focus on our separation from Divine love we will live in that separation. Allow the Divine to shine forth love through you! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN
As I have said before, "I am NOT a Christian." Neither was Christ. I choose to allow the Spirit of God to guide me.
I am not always successful in doing this; however my heart is focused on this being an ongoing state of awareness.
I move daily towards not focusing on my beliefs but simply allowing the Spirit of God to guide me.

WHAT IS A BELIEF?
What is a belief? Is it a conviction that something is completely understood and further challenging is not necessary? Is it flexible? Or is it rigid and cast in stone no matter what evidence is presented to the contrary? A belief is defined as an opinion or conviction based on the confidence that it is the truth [dictionary.com]. It is a construct (a complex theory formed from a number of simpler elements) based on the existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof. It is contrived from your ego’s desire to protect itself at all costs; to establish a set of rules to live by to secure one’s safety and security, moving toward pleasure and moving away from pain.
Beliefs are established over the course of time in order to program your subconscious mind with the parameters and paradigms necessary to either allow your growth and expansion or reduction and regression. Living by and not removing erroneous beliefs from your subconscious mind will lead to a stifling of appropriate action and the stagnation of any motivations that lead to creating a fulfilled life. Your beliefs are collected and collated into a belief system; which triggers emotional responses to environmental stimuli. Emotions are beliefs in action. The beliefs combine to form a complex system or whole construct that actuates fight or flight.
Beliefs are learned behavior that we derive from our experience; whether external or internal. A belief system is a set of mutually supportive beliefs [Wikipedia.com]; beliefs that work in tandem to support an experienced set of principles that allowed you to arrive at an internal conclusion about whether they were effective or not in securing pleasure or avoiding pain. When a belief is challenged the person holing firm to the belief feels threatened and either avoids the pain of the challenge or rigorously defends its veracity. The problem is that many beliefs are true without being valid. Validity requires multiple occurrences of the same result in the manifestation of the belief. If there is any variance, then the belief can only be considered valid for those who have manifested similar results.
Beliefs don’t apply to everyone’s experience; only to those who have come to similar conclusions based on similar experiences. When people impose their beliefs or their belief system on others it is clearly negating another’s experience. It is, in effect, telling them WHAT to believe based on their interpretations and NOT on what another has experienced. This is where judgment comes into play. Opinions are beliefs or judgments that rest on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty [dictionary.com]. How can one effectively judge what another does without experiencing what they have experienced? How can one tell another what to do when they haven’t walked a mile in their shoes? What is the motivation to judge another instead of just judging their behaviors?
When you seek Divine will you let go and allow the Divine to guide you and discharge any and all erroneous beliefs that lead to improper judgments and rigid opinions. You need to actively participate in the discharging of erroneous beliefs by challenging each and every belief with your experiences in order to arrive at the truth and the validity of the truth. You are not a static ‘do-nothing’ being. You are in constant perceived motion expressing yourself dynamically into an omniverse of energy and motion. Your beliefs, judgments and opinions lead to who and what you value in life. Your values are the relative worth, merit, or importance of what you ‘believe’ about your experiences. What you value is what you use to navigate through your life.
Do you value the truth? Do you seek to understand what others believe and value? Or do you adopt a rigid position based on erroneous and unchallenged beliefs the YOU determine are correct for yourself and others? Make the time each and every day to immerse yourself in the peace, joy and understanding of the stillness and silence of the Divine. Release any and ALL erroneous beliefs that don’t contribute to the understanding, growth and expansion of yourself and others. Judge what behaviors are good or bad for you without judging others for their behaviors.
Without laws we would have anarchy in our society. Without judgment of right or wrong we would have the ongoing senseless death of innocent people. Without protection from evil we would have those who dedicate themselves to genocide. Without common sense we have senselessness, ignorance and posturing.
If you defend the use of weapons to ward off evil then you are only exacerbating the problem. Weapons are associated with power over someone and stem from the ego going out of its way to protect itself at all costs. It does not care to negotiate. It does not care to compromise. It just wants to be victorious; no matter what it takes to be so.
Those who desire to possess weapons are living in fear; they are NOT trusting in the Divine completely. They favor what the ego tells them and NOT what the Spirit of God guides them to do. Bottom line; no argument you could EVER present could sway that conviction. It is your choice to live in fear or live in faith.
Stop making excuses to defend the very thing that denies the unfolding of your Divine purpose in Divine order. Peace and non-violence. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
APPLES AND ORANGES
It always amazes me how desperate some get in an argument and have to resort to comparing apples with oranges when it comes to owning and using weapons. If someone assaulted my home, I would call the police if I could. If I couldn't, I would trust in the Divine to protect us.
What I am saying here is that by living in Divine trust, the assault wouldn't have occurred to begin with; living in fear brings upon you what you fear the most. And it reinforces the ego's control over you. Owning weapons creates a mental condition whereby you must use those weapons and emotional fear projected brings this about.
If you own your fear and identify with it, you will protect it and nurture it because it becomes comfortable for you and you feel secure in that fear. If you cannot see this clearly, then so be it. For me and my wife, we will trust in the Divine to protect us. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
