If you spend your life suppressing your desires you will live a suppressed life replete with experiences that support your thoughts, beliefs, words and actions.
You will proclaim to others that you are right, speak with authority or that you have figured it all out but in truth you have just perpetrated your suppression of reality onto others. Your experience is just that; YOUR experience.
You can share what you think, believe, speak and act with others but it is up to them to make the discoveries on their own or it will never be real to them.
Share love by demonstrating health, wealth, prosperity and abundance in all you do and your desires will be manifest in each and every moment of your life. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
What does it mean when you say to someone, “I understand”? It means to perceive the meaning of something by interpreting circumstances, events, occurrences or situations through the process of discernment. It puts you into their situation for a moment to ultimately help them sort things out and figure out a course of action. But what about the second step?
Once you have empathized with their situation it’s time for you to act; it’s time to overstand. When you overstand you stretch out of your comfort zone in order to help them stretch out of theirs. You go beyond the problem and help them arrive at a solution. This is the essence of love in action. It is contributing to life by helping others arrive at a place where they can positively deal with things on their own.
There are many ways to overstand. Share your experiences, direct them to how others handled things or just simply be there for them in this moment. Be pro-active and give of yourself to the edification of others. Be the love you were created to be, here and now. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
